Scotts Valley Water District - Water Pressure
Water Pressure

Did you know high water pressure is a common problem for most Scotts Valley Water District customers?

Many areas of Scotts Valley have high water pressure. This is due to the topography of the area. Besides being a nuisance, high water pressure puts strain on your plumbing and appliances, making your home susceptible to leaks and water damage. The District recommends that all service connections have pressure regulators installed to prevent damage to plumbing from high water pressure. If your home already has a pressure regulator it should be checked annually. We recommend keeping the water pressure to your home under 85 psi. The District offers a $50 rebate for installing a new pressure regulator or replacing an old one. Pressure regulators should be replaced every five years.
