By submitting this application, you are agreeing to the following:

  • Potable bulk meter: Installation of a backflow device with valid certification and testing results is required before use. Must provide certification within one-week of receiving bulk water meter.

  • Potable bulk water can only be used within the boundaries of the Scotts Valley Water District, whereas recycled bulk water can be used inside and outside the boundaries of the District. 

  • Recycled water is to be used solely for construction and landscaping purposes.  Tanker Truck must be inspected by SVWD staff before a recycled meter can be issued.

  • Bulk water can only be drawn through the meter from the hydrant assigned to the site address on reverse of this form.

  • It is unlawful and prohibited to operate the valve of any hydrant other than by use of a spanner wrench designed for that purpose.

  • Water must be drawn from the meter during daylight hours only, except as approved by the District in advance, and at a flow rate no greater than 400 gallons per minute.

  • When filling a tanker, an air gap must be present between the tank contents and the filler hose.

  • This permit must be displayed in the truck or on site at all times while drawing water. Non-compliance will result in forfeiture of all deposits, loss of permit, and/or criminal prosecution, to the maximum extent allowable under law.

  • Tampering with any hydrant or unauthorized water use shall constitute a misdemeanor, punishable by law.

  • The customer shall use reasonable care to prevent damage to the meter and all facilities belonging to the District. The $2,000 deposit may be refunded only after the meter has been returned to the District in good working order, or less the cost to repair the meter. The deposit may also be refunded less any outstanding balance for water consumption or past due payments on the account.

  • Bulk water meter customers are required to call in the meter reads on the 28th day oeach month.

  • Payment in full must be made within 30 days of the billing at the following (or current) rate:
