Upgrade your toilet to a HET and receive up to $100 credit on your water bill!

1. Credit of up to $100 for replacing a toilet using over 1.6 gallons per flush with a High Efficiency Toilet (HET) using 1.28 gallons per flush or less

2. Credit of up to $50 for replacing a toilet using 1.5 to 1.6 gallons per flush with a HET;

3. Credit of up to $50 for replacing a higher volume urinal with a High Efficiency Urinal using 0.5 gallons per flush or less;

4. Credit of up to $100 for replacing a water-using urinal with a waterless urinal;

The City of Scotts Valley is offering an additional rebate of up to $100 if the cost of your new HET exceeds $100. To qualify you must be approved for the Scotts Valley Water District retrofit credit first and YOU MUST BE ON THE CITY OF SCOTTS VALLEY SEWER SYSTEM.

Credit is available for more than one fixture per residence or business. For example, if you replace two toilets then you are eligible for a credit of up to $200. Credit is not given for cost of labor.

Please be advised that we do not issue cash or check rebates and the credit is applied directly to the water account where the fixture or fixtures are installed.

Approved Toilet List

This detailed list provides toilet performance information based on testing done by the California Urban Water Conservation Coucil. Only toilets indicated to be HETs qualify for the rebate. We highly recommend choosing a toilet that flushes at least 800 grams per flush.

Find a local business that sells High Efficiency Toilets

Customers are required to submit a Rebate Application along with a copy of the receipt for purchase when requesting a credit. Make sure to include all receipts if applying for a rebate for more than one fixture, toilet, and/or washing machine.
