Rebate Details

Lawn Replacement

District Rebates to replace your irrigated lawn with drought tolerant or native plants and/or permeable landscape materials such mulch, decomposed granite, permeable pavers, artificial turf, etc, are $1. per square foot of lawn replaced. Conventional concrete, asphalt, mortared pavers or other non-permeable material will not be rebated. PRE-INSPECTION REQUIRED BEFORE LAWN IS REMOVED.       
Additional rebates from the State Department of Water Resources are available to single-family residences for lawn replacement! The program will rebate up to an additional $1 per square foot of replaced lawn for customers who are applying for the  District turf rebate. There is a $2000 maximum for each household. This rebate application is separate and guidelines differ from the District's, so you must go online and follow the state's guidelines in order to be eligible for these additional funds. Low Volume Irrigation

Replace your existing riser mounted or pop-up spray head sprinklers with a low-volume irrigation system (such as drip emitters, in-line drip, sub-surface drip, or low-flow bubblers) and receive a rebate of 50 cents per square foot of the newly planted area covered by the new irrigation. PRE-INSPECTION REQUIRED BEFORE SPRAY IRRIGATION IS REMOVED.

Hardscape Replacement

Help us preserve our groundwater by replacing your impervious (impermeable) asphalt or concrete with pervious (permeable) asphalt, concrete, unmortared pavers, gravel, or other pervious material. $1 per square foot of replaced hardscape. PRE-AND POST INSPECTION REQUIRED.

Replace your older, timer-based irrigation controller with a Smart/weather-based irrigation controller (WBIC) that has an onsite weather sensor (web-based weather data and stand alone rain sensors do not qualify) and receive up to $100 for each replaced controller.

Save thousands of gallons of water each year and help make your property more sustainabl by diverting your washer, bathtub or shower to your landscape with a greywater system. The District offers rebates of $150 per fixture converted and offers classes and information on installation, materials, and codes. PRE-AND POST INSPECTION REQUIRED.

Downspout Diversion

Keep rainwater on your property by diverting your downspouts to on-site swales, dry creek beds, rain gardens, or infiltration basins. These stormwater management methods will help our aquifers and allow you to take advantage of free water that would otherwise flow off our property. $75 per downspout with a maximum of 4 per site. PRE-AND POST INSPECTION REQUIRED.

Pressure Regulators

Pressure Regulators (PRVs)- $50 credit for one regulator for the life of the account. A receipt for the regulator and photo or installation labor receipt from a licensed plumber, must be submitted with the rebate application.

Toilets
Rebate Details

High Efficiency Toilets

District Rebates for Replacing Toilets helps you improve the value of your home and saves money and water each time your flush. Purchase only EPA WaterSense certified toilets and make sure to buy 1.28 gpf or lower, as that is the 2014 law in CA. This rebate requires a receipt for the new toilet, and the make and model of the old toilet. Toilets that cost under $100 or $125 will only be rebated up to the purchase price of the toilet.
$100 credit for each replaced toilet that flushed more than 1.6 gallons, with one that flushes 1.28 gallons.
$125 credit for each replaced toilet that flushed more than 1.6 gallons with one that flushes under 1.28 gallons.
